DO NOT REGISTER FOR AUDITIONS HERE STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 5–8 ARE INVITED TO AUDITION FOR Middle School Play: Shrek, Jr. To regain his beloved swamp, a reclusive ogre finds he must rescue a princess from a fiery dragon. This summer, students entering grades 5-8 will have the opportunity to participate in this high-energy musical packed with action, hit songs, choreography, and loads of humor!! If you are cast, you will need to pay a fee ($110) payable to Delano Community Ed. Auditions: DO NOT REGISTER FOR AUDITIONS HERE Auditions held at the Performing Arts Center Tuesday, May 7| 3:30–5:30 PM Wednesday, May 8 | 3:30–5:30 PM **Some actors may receive a second audition Thursday, May 9 | 3:30–4:30 PM ***Visit Ms. Palmer website (DIS) for more information and to sign up for an audition slot. No one will be allowed in the auditorium except those auditioning • Students should bring a completed audition form to the audition. (Audition forms are available in the DIS office, DHS office, and Ms. Palmer’s DIS 6th grade website) Visit Ms. Palmer’s school website to find links to singing and speaking parts to practice before your audition. Rehearsals Summer Rehearsal Schedule (see Ms. Palmer’s DIS website for a detailed practice schedule) July 15-Aug 22 Mon. – Thurs. 9:00-11:00am Aug. 26- Sept. 4 Mon. – Thurs. 3:30-5:30pm Participants need to plan to attend the majority of rehearsals. Parts will be recast if participants are not available for most rehearsals. Performances Thursday, September 5 , at 7:00 PM Friday, September 6, at 7:00 PM Saturday, September 7, at 2:00 PM You MUST attend all 3 performances! Questions?
