    > boys & girls, ages 11 - 18 Girls and boys ages 11+ will learn the skills and information necessary for caring for infants and children in this American Health & Safety Institute-accredited program. The Babysitting Training program will teach participants how to be responsible, prepare for emergencies, take care of an infant/child, respond to an unconscious victim, CPR, choking management, and basic first aid. Upon successful completion, participants will earn a Babysitting Safety Training certification card. Please bring a pen, paper, snack, and beverage!   • Child & Babysitting Safety (CABS)

    > boys & girls, ages 11+ This American Safety & Health Institute training program is designed to engage and inform aspiring babysitters. It gives 11 - 14-year-old boys and girls everything they need to know, from getting started to dealing with parents and children to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips. Course highlights include: Fundamental information about babysitting & creating your business Leadership: You’re in charge, but not the parent Basic Caregiving Skills: Feeding, diapering, holding, safe sleep practices Play Time: Keeping children entertained and active Safety and Injury Prevention: Phone safety, SIDs awareness, environmental, weather, and preventable hazards First Aid/CPR: Recognizing an emergency, caring for an ill or injured victim, wounds & burn care, choking & CPR Students should bring a pen, notebook, snacks, and a beverage to class. Get your children trained with SafeKids 101, and both of you will feel more confident about their safety at home and in the community. This program is chock-full of important safety principles. This program teaches what all parents want their children to know about safety! Course highlights include Staying home alone Answering the door or the telephone Basic First Aid: burns, wounds & bandaging, poisonings, and choking emergencies Storm and fire emergency training Dog emergencies: four steps to staying safe Stranger danger: straight talk with honest answers Fun, safe activities to do while home alone Create fun, healthy - safe snacks!
