GWG: Spring Running Series(The Spring Running Series focuses the training on girls in grades 4th-6th, but all ages are welcome; participants younger than 4th-grade need to participate with an adult) Girls With Goals will be hosting a spring running series. Each session will include a combination of running, toning, and group discussion. This series is intended primarily as an introduction for new young runners. Adult and seasoned runners are welcome to participate and can help inspire the new runners. In addition to the weekly Friday sessions, the season will end with a final session on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, which is National Running Day (we will celebrate with a fun run and food). Registration preferred by April 1 Girls With Goals Participants must be able to run/jog, follow a series of directions, and verbally communicate with peers and coaches.
GWG: Fun Run & WalkFor girls and women of all ages! Girls With Goals will be hosting a 5K fun run and walk for girls and women of all ages. The event is meant to provide a relaxed and fun environment for girls and women to support each other in healthy living. Some snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring along a treat to share (e.g., fruit, bagels, granola bars, sports drink, etc.). Event Schedule: 6:00 p.m. - Check-In 6:30 p.m. - Race Start 7:30 p.m. - Door Prizes & Fun Post Race Treats Registration preferred by Aug 1 Alli Zens, facilitator Recommended Program Prerequisites: Participants must be able to walk/run/jog, follow a series of directions, and verbally communicate with peers and coaches.
