Be a part of Delano’s Boys’ Tennis Team. Whether you have played tennis for a few years or have barely picked up a racket, join our team and give tennis a try. All levels of players are welcome. You will learn the lifelong game of tennis, develop better skills, have a good time, and get a chance to compete with some area players your age. 

7th Graders Sign up on Delano Community Ed for Middle School Tennis If you believe you are interested in varsity level or would like to possibly become JV, you should attend Varsity/JV practice, which starts on March 24. (Middle School Season is April 7 start) If you make varsity or are needed on the JV team, the school will transfer your registration over to high school registration.  

8th Graders: Sign up on Delano Community Ed for Middle School Tennis It is recommended that all 8th graders attend practice on March 24 with JV/Varsity. Most likely, 8th graders will fill our roster at the jv and sometimes varsity level. 8th graders also have the option of playing on the middle school team (Apr 7) if that seems like a better fit for their skill level. *Contact Coach Olson with questions (jacob.olson@delanoschools.org)

Registration deadline: April 6

Monday - Friday, April 7-May 22 (there will also be a 12 dual-match schedule)

Transportation: Player transportation will be shared by parents on road matches.

Program Prerequisites: Participants must be able to follow a series of directions, demonstrate hand-eye coordination to hold and throw a tennis ball, be able to keep a rally going, verbally communicate with peers and coaches, run, shuffle side-to-side, hold and swing a tennis racket.
