Age: 6-12yr
Introducing young athletes to a sport rich in tradition and history, Skyhawks Track & Field combines technical technique development with safety and a major focus on fun. Athletes will learn several Olympic-style events such as the 50m Dash, 100m Dash, 4X1 Relay, Long Jump, Standing Broad Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus. Each athlete will get their times and throws recorded each day so they can track their improvement throughout the program. We teach sport-specific fundamentals along with footspeed, jumping, flexibility, range of motion, coordination, endurance, and self-esteem. Please bring appropriate indoor and outdoor athletic attire and please bring a couple bottles of water and 2 snacks (there will be a snack break halfway through the camp each day).
