Grades 4-6

Mindful Making with Mixed Media

In this whimsical workshop, young makers will create one-of-a-kind books using buttons, paper, twine, needles, and hot glue guns. As we fold and design, students will learn valuable skills in bookmaking, and creative composition.

This class is all about slowing down, focusing on the little things, and discovering the beauty in detail and patience. Each participant will leave with their own itty bitty treasure book—perfect for tiny drawings, poems, or keepsakes.

Program Prerequisites: Participants must be able to hold a paintbrush and other similar utensils, follow two-step instructions, communicate with peers and instructors, and work independently or with a group.
