Ages 2.9 to Kindergarten / and Parent/Guardian

This series of 8 classes do not have a formal parent discussion time and are non-separating. 

PLAY AND LEARN with ART Children and their parent/guardian/grandparent will work with a variety of art mediums to create projects to take home. Once finished with the projects, children can explore the classroom toys. The last 15 minutes of class we will have a circle time together. Please wear clothes that could get messy. This class will make art projects that are created for children 2.9 years to Kindergarten. January 16 – 9:15-10:15 AM January 23 – 9:15-10:15 AM

PLAY AND LEARN with SCIENCE Children and their parent/guardian/grandparent will make observations, predict, and conduct experiments during class. We will learn through our senses: sight, touch, smell, hear, and possibly taste. Once finished with the experiments, children can explore the classroom toys. The last 15 minutes of class we will have a circle time together. All experiments are created for children 2.9 years to Kindergarten. January 30 – 9:15-10:15 AM February 6 – 9:15-10:15 AM

PLAY AND LEARN with MUSIC and MOVEMENT Children and their parent/guardian/grandparent will learn through movement. We will practice our motor skills in the large motor room or gym using a variety of equipment for children aged 2.9 years to Kindergarten. The last 30 minutes of class we will use music to move our bodies and try out some different musical instruments at circle time. February 13 – 9:15-10:15 AM February 27 – 9:15-10:15 AM

PLAY AND LEARN with NATURE The natural world is a giant, open-ended learning laboratory. Children are innate scientists and nature provides countless opportunities for discovery, creativity, problem-solving, and STEM education. In nature children think, question, and make hypotheses – thereby developing inquisitive minds. Come join this class with your child and learn about the “Sense of Wonder” through their eyes. This class will begin indoors with planned, interactive experiences and then move outdoors to explore the natural world. March 13 – 10:15 – 11:45 AM March 20 – 10:15 – 11:45 AM
