For Parents/Adults who are raising children with special needs.
This class offers parents of children with special needs an opportunity to connect with one another in a safe and positive environment. Enjoy topic-based discussion focused on connection, support, and resource-sharing. Resources and expert information will be made available, and parents are encouraged to share their own wisdom and experience! Caregiver Connection is open to parents of children of any age with a focus on early childhood and elementary years.
FALL DATES & DISCUSSION TOPICs
September 23rd - Building connection and support
October 21st - How parents of children with special needs advocate for their child’s education and medical services
November 18th - Navigating the special education system
December 16th - County and family law considerations
Although there are assigned topics for each class, there will be time for questions and concerns from participants.
Where: Delano Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room - You are welcome to attend in-person or virtually via zoom.
