  • Delano MAGA Gymnastics Competition Team

    The Delano MAGA Gymnastics Competition Team is by invite only! Participants must tryout, meet the team skill requirements, and receive coach approval before registering for this program. The Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association or MAGA provides competitive gymnastics for youth and junior ages. The MAGA program is typically used as a feeder program into the High School Gymnastics Program. The MAGA program uses the same rules and scoring as the high school program. Gymnasts have the opportunity to compete against other teams and are judged by age groups. AGE GROUPS: Gymnast’s age JAN. 1 of that competitive season NOVICE: 9 and under CHILDREN: 10 and 11 years old JUNIOR: 12 and 13 years old SENIOR: 14 and over The competition season starts in November and goes through early March. Team Fees Practice Fees are separate from the MAGA Team Competition Fee. MAGA Team Competition Fee Includes: Fees paid to the Midwest Armature Gymnastics Association Club fee Team fee Individual athlete fee Competition (meet) registration fees Administrative fees Staff fees Team warm up leotard Team competitive leotard Team warm up jacket
  • Beginners Gymnastics

    This class is for students in Kindergarten or a higher grade during the 2024-25 school year. Gymnasts will learn the basics of gymnastics. The Coaching Staff will teach the basics of cartwheels, pullovers, board approaches, and beam basics. Beginners' classes are one hour long. Gymnasts at this level are recommended to register for one class per week. Bus Transportation - Fall Session #1 Your child can ride their regular bus from the Elementary & Intermediate Schools to the High School for Fall Gymnastics Session #1 (3:15 pm classes only). Please note that buses #1-6 go to the Community Education Center or other locations to drop off students before going to the High School. Your child will need to provide the driver a note each day they attend gymnastics if they are getting off their bus at the High School. The note for the bus driver is for your child’s safety and to ensure they are getting off of their bus in the correct location. (Community Education staff will email Bus Driver Notes to registered participants with a valid email address on file with Community Education). Community Education will have a gymnastics coach by door #11 to meet the students and bring them to the gym. More detailed information about this process will be sent out to registered participants with a valid email address one week before the session starts. Participants must have a valid email address on file with Community Education to receive this information. **If your child misses the class they are registered for; we cannot allow them to make up that missed class by attending another session.** Program Prerequisites: Participants must be able to run, jump, hop on one foot, balance on one foot, spin in a circle, follow two-to-three step directions, verbally communicate with peers and coaches, and work as a team with their peers.

  • Tumble Time Gymnastics

    This class is for 4 and 5-year-olds that are not yet in Kindergarten. In this class, your child will learn the basics of gymnastics while improving their coordination and flexibility. Community Education and the Gymnastics Staff ask that Tumble Time Parents remain in the gym during their child’s class session.
  • Intermediate Gymnastics

    Intermediate Gymnasts will expand on the basics and move on to more complex skills. The Coaching Staff will teach participants the skills to perform walkovers, glides, pop-ups, turns, and cartwheels on the beam. This class is two hours long. Gymnasts at this level are recommended to register for 1 - 2 classes per week.   • Advanced/Masters Gymnastics

    Advanced: Gymnasts will learn handsprings, squat-ons, flatbacks, and gain confidence on high beams. Advanced classes are two-hour classes. Gymnasts at this level are recommended to register for 2 - 3 classes per week. Masters: We will advance your gymnastics skills even further. Masters participants will be taught tumbling, kips, and handsprings. Masters classes are two-hour classes. Gymnasts at this level are recommended to register for 2-3 classes per week.
